Cosmetic Launch Roundup: August 1-8, 2020

The hot weather just got hotter with these new products hitting the market. There are a lot of brands to discuss this time so get comfy and enjoy the Roundup!

Ace Beaute came back with the absolutely gorgeous Nostalgia eyeshadow palette. 15 stunning shades (12 matte, 3 shimmer/metallic) create a fabulous color story to reminiscence about. Nostalgia is $38.99 on Ace Beaute’s site.

Midas Cosmetics has several new complexion products launching this month but first up was the Zero Flaws Setting Powder. These powders come in 5 shades (fair, light, medium, rich, and extra rich), blurring pores and has a semi-matte finish. Grab your shade for $12 on Midas’ website.

Ruby May Cosmetics introduced two new eyeshadow palettes, Flaunt Beauty Indica and Flaunt Beauty Sativa. Each palette contains 6 shades and features very different color stories. Indica is the flamboyant sister with blues and purples while Sativa is the demure one, gifting us greens, yellows, and neutrals. Indica and Sativa cost $24.99 each and are available only online.

Mocha Cosmetics’ rebrand has been successful and to celebrate, the brand gave us the updated and extended version of the Purple Paradise eyeshadow palette. The 12-pan palette is a purple lovers’ dream and has 5 mattes, 4 shimmers, 2 glitters, and 1 shimmery matte. Purple Paradise costs $25 on Mocha Cosmetics’ website.

Kimchi Chic Beauty is sweet with the Juicy Nine collection. The collection features 4 eyeshadow palettes with 9 shades each and each palette has a different theme. You can pick from Virgin Mojito, Mango Tango, Juicy Velvet, or Chocolate Melt. Each palette is $14 or you can get the bundle for $48 on Kimchi Chic’s site.

Peachy Queen Cosmetics stayed busy and delivered 4 eyeshadow palettes all dealing in the art of fortune telling. First up is Destiny ($29.99), a varied color story inspired by planets and fate. Next is Spirit Board ($31.95), inspired by Ouija boards. Following along is the We’re All Mad Here ($33.95) and Tarot ($29.99). All four palettes are sold online only.

Lurella Cosmetics sent nudes with the sophisticated In The Nude palette. The 9-pan palette features beautiful neutral shades for a variety of wearable looks. In The Nude costs $15 on Lurella’s site.

Rude Cosmetics kept lips lined to perfection with the Teeny Weeny Micro Gel lip liners. There are 14 colors ranging from nude to reds to deep purples. Each liner is $4.50 and up for grabs on Rude Cosmetics’ website.

Mint Beauty made lips feel rejuvenated with the Fresh Lip Care bundle. Included are 4 lip gloss shades, one mint scented lip balm, and one lip oil, all for just $22. You can get the bundle on the brand’s site.

Colourpop delivered the Garden Variety collection, originally meant for spring release. The collection includes eyeshadow palette ($20), 4 pressed powder blushes ($8 each), 4 Lux Lip Oils ($8 each), 3 lip and cheek kits ($15 each), 4 Jelly Much eyeshadows ($8 each), Warm Gold Glow Oil (from SolBody, $10), Misty Morning face mist kit (from FourthRayBeauty, $10), and Velour scrunchies set ($10). Everything is bundled for $135 or get the necessities on Colourpop’s site.

Maybelline shined this week with the Lifter Glosses. Meant to smooth and hydrate lips, there are 10 shades for everyone to use. The glosses are available on Maybelline’s site for $6.99 each or in Walmart.

Pacifica Beauty went out on a limb and gave us their first liquid eyeshadows. The Twinkle Paint Liquid Eyeshadows come in 3 lovely shades (Pink Moon, Cloudy Moon, and Baby Stars) and cost $12 each. You can grab your favorite shade on Pacifica’s site or at Ulta.

Glamlite Cosmetics created the stunning Concha highlighter for the Foodie Box but thankfully we can grab the pink shimmery highlight for $14 on Glamlite’s site.

Juvia’s Place extended the Mini Palettes collection with three stunning newbies. The Sweet Pinks, Mauves, and Taupes are sitting pretty at $14 each on Juvia’s site.

Dominique Cosmetics is a Beautiful Mess with their first liquid eyeshadows. The collection features 6 shadows: Pretty Wild (golden-orange), Shy Girl (mauve), Vibey Vixen (purple with pink shimmer), Electric Soul (green/purple multichrome), Day Dreamer (brown copper with gold shimmer), and Cold Heart (blue with gold shimmer). Each shadow is $20 or you can opt for the bundle for $96, only on Dominique Cosmetics’ website.

Morphe introduced us to the newest member of the 35-pan fam, the 35C Everyday Chic Artistry Palette. Perfect for neutral makeup lovers, there are enough pops of color to satisfy people who like a bit of color. 35C is available on Morphe’s site for $25 and in Ulta.

  1. Some of these products really look great, and there are some really nice colours 🙂 From someone who doesn’t know too much about makeup, may I ask possibly if you post products from small businesses because if so I will check some of these out 🙂

    • Most of the brands are small/indie businesses ☺️. The only “mainstream” brands is Morphe and Juvia’s Place but the price points are affordable which is one of my goals for this blog.
